Six award nominations at the BSME Talent Awards
We are delighted to announce that Cogora has been shortlisted for six awards at the BSME (British Society of Magazine Editors) Talent Awards 2025.
Megan Ford has been nominated at the BSME Talent Awards for Best Section Editor B2B in recognition of her work as news editor at Nursing in Practice and The Pharmacist, where she has proven to be a champion of nurses and pharmacists and a strong leader of her team.
Megan’s quality journalism and passion for supporting our sectors led her in 2024 to directly influenced pay negotiations for practice nurses, exposed an accreditation scheme that was discriminating against senior nurses, and showcased the highs and lows of a new Pharmacy First scheme.
Maddie Anderson, has been shortlisted for Best New Writer, having positioned herself as a go-to journalist among the nursing community after only a year at Nursing in Practice. Maddie’s exceptional writing, flair and passion for the sector has meant she frequently beats competitors to the latest news and is often trusted and tipped off with exclusives.
Maddie was the first to report the battle of district nurses in Scotland waiting for a pay rise they were owed six years ago – an issue that subsequently got taken to Parliament and saw a commitment from the first minister to review the situation. She also exclusively revealed plans for healthcare assistants in Cornwall to work beyond their clinical capabilities and training within a community nursing team – something vital to expose for our registered nurse audience who often feel pushed out by less qualified colleagues.
On Pulse, Anna Colivicchi, Eliza Parr and Maya Dhillon have been shortlisted for Best Section News Team B2B having once again led the GP news agenda, producing stories, investigations and analyses on core topics for their audience.
Their entry included investigations into physician associates, sexism in the profession, hospital trusts failing to deliver more than 700,000 patient documents to GPs, and coverage on the ongoing unemployment crisis. The team's stories were cited in the national press more than 40 times in 2024.

Anna's entry also included another exclusive story about a GP practice in London that was registering patients in error after receiving a tip off.
