Primary Care Minister Stephen Kinnock will address GPs at Pulse LIVE London on 19 March.

Stephen Kinnock

Minister of State for Care Stephen Kinnock, who oversees general practice, will deliver a speech at Pulse LIVE London, followed by a Q&A session led by Pulse editor Sofia Lind. Topics will include the new GP contract, which Mr. Kinnock helped negotiate with the BMA.

Mr Kinnock, who is the son of iconic Labour leader Neil Kinnock, was appointed to the general practice brief last summer after Labour’s landslide election win. Mr. Kinnock is also responsible for adult social care, hospital discharge, and community health. His previous shadow ministerial roles covered the armed forces, foreign affairs, and immigration.

His address comes just weeks after the Government’s first agreed GP contract deal in four years—and on the same day that England’s LMCs meet to discuss their next steps in the ongoing dispute.

What’s On at Pulse LIVE London

  • Clinical updates on respiratory health, cardiology, and women’s health
  • A key debate on the GP unemployment crisis, chaired by Pulse Editor-in-Chief Jaimie Kaffash, featuring insights from Cogora’s General Practice Workforce White Paperlaunched in Parliament earlier this year and swooped on by the national press
  • Discussions on the GP pay boost and the NHS 10-Year Plan

Two-day passes are sold out, but a limited number of single-day passes are now available for GPs who wish to attend.
