Nursing in Practice shortlisted at the BSME Awards
Cogora has been shortlisted at the British Society of Magazine Editors (BSME) awards, with Megan Ford shortlisted as New Editor of the Year.

Megan become Editor of Nursing in Practice in November 2025. One of her first major projects saw the publication of the General practice nurse pay: A salary survey of the profession 2026 report – informed by a survey of almost 900 general practice nurses and expert opinion from across the profession. Exclusive data and analysis within the report revealed average pay by role, Band level and region – uncovering that nurses in general practices are earning thousands of pounds less than their NHS counterparts.
Megan and the rest of the Nursing in Practice team then hosted a parliamentary event to launch the report, welcoming nurses, MPs and those representing GPs and general practice managers to discuss the concerns raised and potential solutions.
During her first year as editor, Megan has also been leading Nursing in Practice’s How Nurses Count campaign – a content-led movement that is championing the profession, sharing best practice and innovation, and encouraging learning from across the nursing workforce.
The BSME Talent Awards celebrate editorial excellence, best practice and groundbreaking creativity and innovation among grassroots teams across all digital, print and social platforms. Winners will be announced on Thursday 26 November in London.
