Congratulations to the Pulse team who won two awards at the BSME Talent Awards last night, plus a highly commended.

Sofia Lind was awarded deputy editor of the year – and was one of six winners put forward for the most prestigious judges’ award – and Rachel Carter, Pulse’s investigations and analysis Editor, won B2B Writer. Cogora's clinical editor, Caroline Price, was highly commended in a very strong field for section editor/team of the year.

For Sofia Lind’s award win, the judges noted that this ‘in a hotly contested category, Sofia stood out. Clearly an editor in waiting, she inspires colleagues and, whether it is breaking news or growing social media reach, she is a journalist who leads by example. Sofia has a long career as an editor in front of her – and our judges are confident it will be a successful one’.

The judges said Rachel Carter ‘has been chosen for her impactful investigative journalism. Her ability to gather personal stories has made a significant impact, whilst her contributions have kept the public informed during a time of immense change’.

They said: ‘Caroline’s commitment and dedication to her work is undeniable. Single-handedly working across give brands, her ability to maintain exceptional quality and drive positive results is to be commended. She is an asset to the team’.

The BSME Talent Awards celebrate achievement, best practice and ground-breaking editorial creativity among teams.

The Pulse team also recently received three nominations at the PPA Awards:  Event of the Year (Business Media) – General Practice Awards, Subscriptions Initiative of the Year – Pulse 365, and Editor of the Year (Business Media) – Jaimie Kaffash. Winners will be announced on 28th June 2023.
