Community Pharmacy and General Practice Conference returns bigger and bolder for 2027
Following a successful launch that sparked national conversation, the Community Pharmacy and General Practice Conference returns for its second year in 2027, moving from Birmingham to London to bring together an even bigger community of primary care professionals.

Taking place at Novotel London West on 27-28 June 2027, the conference will build on its debut to showcase how general practice and community pharmacy can work more closely together to improve patient outcomes, release capacity and strengthen neighbourhood healthcare.
As the only national event dedicated to bringing together these two key pillars of neighbourhood health, the conference is fast establishing itself as a key fixture in the UK healthcare calendar. More than 800 primary care professionals, PCN and ICB leaders, policymakers and thought leaders are expected to attend.
Lisa Thomlinson, Director of Event Strategy at Cogora, said: “Our inaugural conference opened the door to a vital conversation about how community pharmacy and general practice can work more closely together. It brought people from across primary care into the same room, sparked new interest and highlighted the huge potential of greater collaboration. In 2027, we want to take that conversation a step further – moving from shared ambition to practical action, with real-world case studies showcasing where collaboration is already working well and the tangible benefits it can deliver for patients, practices and pharmacies.”
Developed by Cogora in collaboration with the National Pharmacy Association (NPA) and a range of primary care organisations, the 2027 programme will build on the practical discussions and shared learning that defined last year’s event. Key themes will include neighbourhood health, clinical services, medicines optimisation, workforce and sustainability, technology and AI and business and finance.
The 2026 conference featured more than 40 sessions exploring opportunities for collaboration across Pharmacy First, vaccinations, medicines shortages, long-term condition management and other shared priorities. Speakers included the then Minister of State for Care, Stephen Kinnock, alongside senior representatives from the NPA, RCGP, BMA, Community Pharmacy England, the Primary Care Pharmacy Association and frontline primary care.
Popular features will return in 2027, including the Hall of Heroes poster display and lightning talks, celebrating standout examples of GP-pharmacy collaboration from across the country.
The conference will also feature an exhibition of more than 70 suppliers to primary care, spanning pharmaceuticals, technology, charitable organisations and more, showcasing solutions to support the future of primary care and neighbourhood health.
