Cogora: The Agency – October digest
October has been a busy month for Cogora: The Agency, with a number of new projects kicking off!
It’s been a productive quarter planning end of year and 2025 initial activities for existing and new clients. Cogora’s agency and education services are passionate about their work within rare diseases with more global activities planned, engaging an ever-increasing expert network.
An advisory board meeting was held at the start of October, where experts discussed best practice in transperineal prostate biopsy. The advisory board discussed real-world data on patient and operator experiences, with an aim to submit manuscripts for publication in peer-reviewed, open-access journals in early 2025.
Cogora: The Agency have kicked off a project to develop six webcasts to feature different KOLs across six different topics. The webcasts are targeted at diagnostic and interventional radiologists and filming is due to take place in December.
A further project has kicked off this month to develop an internal tool to support sales teams with customer conversations when discussing central venous access devices. The tool will provide sales teams with a narrative that they can use to have an engaging discussion with key customers, including highlighting relevant content from important clinical studies, explained in simple terms to be used as part of their sales pitch.
As part of a project to investigate treatment pathways for atopic dermatitis and alopecia areata, the team have completed interviews with key stakeholders, including patients, dermatologists and specialist pharmacists. The content of the interviews was used with desk research to refine the Delphi consensus survey questionnaire. Final amends are being made to the survey before being shared next week with the key target audience.
Work has also started on a client hub and supporting marketing to drive traffic to four webcasts designed to educate and answer frequently asked questions on a vaccination application system.
The Agency team are working on the development of five disease awareness booklets. These educational booklets will be for internal and external use and the content of each topic will be personalised, touching on the background of the disease, the burden and challenges and guideline recommendations on treatment.
As part of a project to raise awareness of the management of malignant pleural effusion, the team have supported a paper summarising the different interventions and recommendations from major American, European, British and Spanish guidelines. The paper will aim to add to the literature in the area of oncology, highlighting best-practice recommendations for optimal coordination of care.
The 10th meeting of the vascular access management clinical advisory board has been scheduled for mid-December and will focus on the creation of a pan-European vascular access curriculum. The curriculum will be comprised of videos/podcasts that offer tips and tricks in a brief, practical format.
