The Cogora: The Agency team have had a busy month, working across several different therapy areas.

Cogora: The Agency

The team have been working hard on the production of the IOTOD winter webinar, which will focus on opioid use disorder and comorbid respiratory conditions. The agenda has been finalised, the speakers selected, and the slides ready for review!

Two of three planned meetings of an account-led biosimilar expert roadshow have been completed this month. The therapeutic landscape was discussed in relation to asthma and chronic spontaneous urticaria and any treatment challenges at a local level in Leeds and Southampton. The team are looking forward to the final roadshow in London at the beginning of December.

A modified Delphi/nominal group technique meeting was held with 10 multi-disciplinary clinicians to achieve expert consensus on statements and develop a diagnostic pathway relating to a rare disease. Disease-modifying treatment exists for this condition, if diagnosed early enough and the client is keen to support early diagnosis and timely treatment. The agency team are now working on the development of an abstract for an upcoming congress and a manuscript for publication.

Copy for a guide for nurses, produced in collaboration with a key opinion leader, has been completed this month and we are excited to see the layout in design. The Agency team have also been busy designing their patient infographic series, covering alopecia areata (AA) and atopic dermatitis (AD). The team are also finalising the copy for a series for secondary care providers and are in the process of developing a single infographic covering both conditions for primary care providers. In addition, the draft copy for a white paper and a peer-reviewed manuscript covering the results of a year-long Delphi workstream have been shared with the key opinion leaders involved for review.

After the success of the GP snapshot survey, Cogora: The Agency are assembling a panel of key opinion leaders to participate in a roundtable meeting to discuss the use of medical cannabis, aiming to help their client understand the applications, access and misconceptions around its use in the UK. This will take place in December.
