Cogora: The Agency – February digest
February has been a busy month for Cogora: The Agency!
With only a few more weeks to go, the team have been busy finalising a project to support a client with a satellite symposium at the ESMO Sarcoma and Rare Cancers Congress 2025 in Lugano, Switzerland. The team have been finalising a number of marketing materials and are excited to be attending the congress later in March.
Cogora: The Agency have also kicked off a new project in February, supporting a client with two satellite symposia at ESE-ESPE 2025 joint-congress in Copenhagen. The sessions will cover Adrenocortical carcinoma (ACC) and Cushing’s syndrome and the agenda is designed to speak to both paediatric and adult endocrinologists.
The team delivered a 2-hour roundtable at the end of February, attended by five GPs with a special interest in weight management services in primary care. The report from the meeting will generate awareness around the provision of Tier 3 weight management services and will help raise awareness amongst GPs on the need to provide referrals for patients.
As part of a project to better understand the patient perspective of chronic insomnia and its management, the Agency team have been busy recruiting patients for an advisory board due to take place in March. The pre-advisory board interviews have been scheduled for the first week of March, with six patients recruited. The results from the advisory board will inform the client how best to support patients with chronic insomnia.
The team have undertaken pre-advisory board interviews with both healthcare professionals and patients ahead of the meeting due to take place in March. All nine attendees have been interviewed in preparation for the meeting, which will examine the results of a 3-round Delphi survey that looked at treatment pathways for atopic dermatitis and alopecia areata.
The first of a series of five informative topic-specific booklets has been finalised. These booklets will be for internal and external use and the bespoke content of each topic will be adapted to suit the topic, touching on the background of the disease, the burden and challenges and guideline recommendations on treatment.
The Agency team kicked off a business case template aimed at giving healthcare professionals the information they need to form a case for expanding access to totally implanted venous access devices for repeated vascular access.
The team have been focusing on recruitment for an advisory board meeting on needle-free connectors. Ten key opinion leaders have confirmed attendance for the full day meeting, which is to be held ahead of the annual Infusion Nurses Society meeting in Las Vegas in April. The objectives of the meeting, amongst other things, is to understand the role and importance of needle-free connectors in reducing catheter-related complications.
