Our first virtual event for practice managers welcomed over 365 delegates, with five sponsored sessions supporting the adoption of technology in primary care.
This virtual event was designed for practice managers and decision-makers in general practice. The agenda focused on the adoption of technology and AI in general practice, with sessions curated to support practice managers on their journey toward becoming a digital practice. The event explored the full journey of digital adoption – from initial hesitancy to the future of digital transformation.
The changes to the GP Contract for 2025/26 place a strong emphasis on digital transition for practices. These changes offer greater freedom for practice managers to implement more technology and expand digital access for patients. Despite this, many practice managers remain hesitant about digital transformation. While some practices are already leading the way, many managers across the country feel they lack the knowledge and confidence to take the leap.
Our events team designed a programme to support practice managers at any stage of their digital journey. The event addressed key areas such as overcoming barriers to digital adoption, understanding the financial and operational impact of going digital, and practical applications like reducing missed appointments. Sessions also included lessons learned from digital transformation and tackled big questions such as ‘What is AI?’
The agenda was developed through extensive research with practice managers and other leaders in the digital space, along with support from the Management in Practice editorial team. Care was taken to ensure that each sponsored session delivered valuable insights and learning points for the audience, balancing commercial value with educational content.
To ensure strong and relevant delegate attendance, we ran a comprehensive multi-channel marketing campaign via Management in Practice. A retention strategy was also implemented to maximise the conversion of registrants to attendees on the day.
Over 365 practice managers and decision-makers in general practice attended the Management in Practice Virtual Event: Digital Health and Technology. The day featured five sponsored sessions, helping highlight some of the best technology currently available to general practice. Many sessions received over 150 views, with attendees opting in for further client communications.
Following this success, the team looks forward to expanding virtual offerings for practice managers and plans to launch further virtual events in 2026. For those interested in speaking at our events, or for organisations who wish to sponsor the event, please contact us today.
