Objectives

Sponsoring, or entering the Awards gives our industry partners the chance to receive exposure in a year-long campaign from launch to the ceremony to post-event coverage across our media brands (Nursing in Practice, Pulse, Management in Practice, Healthcare Leader and The Pharmacist) reaching thousands of healthcare professionals via email, print, social media and digital channels.

Our approach

Adapting to a changing landscape, the General Practice Awards continually review the categories on offer, staying in line with the latest NHS and Public Health priorities.

2019 gave us the opportunity to recognise the rapid change occurring due to the formation of PCNs with two categories supported by NHS England. We also streamlined the clinical categories allowing us to recognise a broader scope with categories including ‘Public Health and Prevention’ and ‘Chronic Conditions’.

In total, 20 awards were given out on the night in late November, including the People’s Choice Award where 20,000+ members of the public voted for their top surgery.

Outcome

  • 20 awards
  • 650 attendees
  • 2.1million Twitter impressions
  • 100s of entries
  • 20,000+ public votes

Testimonial: PSUK, sponsor, Practice Manager of the Year, 2019

We are delighted to be, once again, showing support and sponsoring the GP Awards for another year.

2020 will be our third consecutive year which we have been part of recognising and awarding a hard working Practice Manager for their services, and we couldn’t be more happy to do so.

The GP Awards is a prestigious and very well run event which gathers a number of healthcare professionals to celebrate all their efforts throughout the year. As well as the numerous awards, it allows an opportunity to network in a more comfortable and enjoyable environment. This, I’m sure, is not only perfect for us and our members but everyone who attends.

We were also lucky enough to be crowned with an award at the 2019 show, something that we are extremely proud of and want everyone to know about.

We have every faith that the 2020 awards ceremony is going to be bigger and better than ever… and we can’t wait’
