Engaging audiences through a digital advisory board

As several of our live advisory boards, including those in the fields of regional anaesthesia, vascular access and medical oncology have been disrupted due to COVID-19, Cogora: The Agency successfully adapted our face-to-face meetings and events into digital advisory boards.

Objectives

Drawing on our extensive database of trusted experts and key opinion leaders, we brought together a group of ten KOLs from Spain, the UK, Italy, France, Germany, The Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. This group of anaesthetists, nurse specialists, and pharmacists virtually facilitated fruitful and engaging discussions.

Our approach

After aligning the ad board’s agenda, we introduced an interactive digital polling software accessed through simple QR code scans in combination with our digital meeting platform, allowing us to screen share, facilitate questions, and provide a chat service. Through the use of scorecards, the delegates were guided to reach a consensus on key statements and parameters defined by the board.

Furthermore, compliance documents were modified to digital formats and organised technical tests were organised with the client and all advisors to ensure these were all resolved prior to the meeting, whilst offering technical support service during the meeting.

Outcome

  • 9.5/10 for agenda satisfaction
  • 9.8/10 for content
  • 9.0/10 for digital tools
  • 9.5/10 for organisation
  • 10/10 for interest in attending future meetings

Advisory boards like these allow us and our client to have engaging conversations with a group of KOLs, able to share and learn from everyone’s perspectives, and more easily reaching a consensus.

The advisory board outcomes have been published in Hospital Healthcare Europe, including strategic recommendations on how to raise awareness through tackling healthcare professionals needs. Additionally, the expert group helped to kick-off several adjacent projects including further market research through surveys and setting up a European Registry.
