We are thrilled to announce that Jaimie Kaffash, Editor of Pulse, was awarded ‘The Fiona MacPherson New Editor’ award at the 2019 British Society of Magazine Editors (BSME) Talent Awards at a ceremony held in London last night.

Explaining their decision, the judges congratulated Jaimie Kaffash for having ‘risen through the ranks and as Editor is now pursuing a challenging agenda of change with huge energy, putting on readers and making an impact’.

The award comes as Pulse news stories have been picked up by the national press on over 100 occasions in the past 12 months, highlighting the engagement and understanding we have as a brand with our audience of general practitioners.

The Pulse news team (Sofia Lind, Elisabeth Mahase, Nicola Merrifield, Carolyn Wickware and Emma Wilkinson) were also nominated for 'Best Section Editor/ Team', as well as 'Best Feature Idea- Print' for their 'Charity Begins at the GPs' campaign.

The BSME is the only society in the UK exclusively for magazine and website editors and senior editorial staff, and have already awarded Pulse with 7 award wins, including ‘Cover of the Year’ and ‘Best Section Editor/ Team’, along with a further six award shortlists.
