Pulse wins 'Cover of the Year' at the BSME Awards

Congratulations to Ravi Naidoo, Art Director at Cogora, who has been awarded ‘Cover of the Year’ at the 2018 British Society of Magazine Editors (BSME) Awards for the Pulse March issue, the most ambitious cover Pulse had attempted.

The cover featured a mosaic of more than 140 GPs to create the image of Dr Hadiza Bawa-Garba, the junior doctor who was struck off the GMC register and charged with manslaughter after the death of a 6-year-old boy.

GPs gave their permission for Pulse to use their portrait picture on the front cover to show their support for Dr Hadiza Bawa-Garba and to illustrate the concern that all doctors have about the implications of the case.

The 2018 British Society of Magazine Editors Awards were held on Tuesday 20 November at The Sheraton Grand London Park Lane Hotel.
