Deputy Editor, The Pharmacist, Pulse PCN and Healthcare Leader
We are seeking a deputy editor to join our editorial team, to hit the ground running and bring energy and drive to our award-winning publications.
The NHS is going through rapid changes throughout its structure and increasingly health professionals are required to collaborate across organisations. Healthcare Leader is at the forefront of covering the top-level policy changes in the NHS, Pulse PCN leads the way in covering the move to a Neighbourhood NHS and The Pharmacist covers the frontline professionals upon which many of these ambitions are pinned.
This role is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced senior reporter or news editor who is looking to take the next step.
You will manage two reporters, running the news desk and editing stories for daily newsletters. You will carry out editorial projects, leading interviews and support the editor in growing the brands.
Key skills will include an ability to: understand the audience and related news agenda, quickly edit copy, share knowledge with reporters, make links with key contacts, carrying out roundtables and podcasts, attend and cover events, analyse data, generate strong content ideas which result in great stories.
This is a senior role, so you will have at least three years’ experience on a publication, ideally in the healthcare sector, an NCTJ or degree.
You will work within a wider team in an innovative health-focused publishing company that offers hybrid working and a central London office. We would like you to spend one day a week (or more, if you like) in our offices in Farringdon, in the City of London.
