The 2016 Pulse Learning Seminar on CVD
Last month, Pulse Learning Seminars held their 2016 CVD event in London. The day brought together cardiology specialist GPs and leading consultants who explored the challenges faced by GPs and provided practice insight and advice to help primary care clinicians increase efficiency and improve patient outcomes.
Pulse Learning Seminars are one-day intensive training days that focus on a series of key clinical areas that GPs face on a day-to-day basis. Alongside CVD, this year’s seminars have also covered mental health, diabetes, dermatology and women’s health.
Topics covered on the programme included:
- Cardiovascular risk and multi-morbidity
- Lipid modification and appropriate management in primary care
- Practical considerations when tailoring anticoagulation treatment
- An interactive masterclass: GP interpretation of cardiac tests
- ‘Have I got cardiovascular news for you’
