We are pleased to share that The Pharmacist was recognised as highly commended by the Association of Independent Multiple Pharmacies (AIMp), in an award given to the pharmacy press yesterday evening.

Association of Independent Multiple Pharmacies

The Pharmacist’s editor Carolyn Scott said: ‘This is great recognition of the work the team has been doing to build strong relationships across the pharmacy organisations and to report in a meaningful way on the challenges that the pharmacy sector is facing.’

Pharmacies have been working hard to offer a reliable and safe service to patients, while managing widespread medicines and staffing shortages plus increased demand in the winter months and post-Covid. The sector is changing, with the proportion of independently run pharmacies increased in the past 12 months. The number of pharmacists working in general practice has also expanded.

Association of Independent Multiple Pharmacies is a membership organisation representing independent community pharmacies and multiple pharmacies over two branches in size. The award was part of the organisation’s annual event for pharmacy members and industry guests.
