Pulse LIVE Liverpool took place on 29th September at the Britannia Adelphi Hotel, where we welcomed over 300 GPs from the North West. The conference was a great success full of lively debates, the sharing of best practice, clinical workshops and updates, and topical discussions. Some of the highlights from this year included:
  • An opening debate on fair payment for general practice asking whether GPs should be paid per appointment.
  • Interactive workshops on ENT and MSK skills.
  • An introduction to meditation where GPs could explore stress management, led by Dr Aman Arora
  • Spotlight on the Pulse “War on Workload” campaign with sessions and the chance for delegates to add their ideas on our #PulseWoW wall.
The Pulse LIVE events team are conscious of bringing together the healthcare community with other key stakeholders from the industry, with the event offering an exhibition alongside the conference. Leading pharmaceutical companies, charitable organisations and innovative providers were able to discuss the latest cutting-edge medications and showcase their latest products and services to attendees. What did our delegates think of the event? “It was a good experience. The staff were welcoming and the lectures were second to none.”- Dr Jolly Joy John, SCMO “It was an excellent event, well organised, well presented and informative with topics relevant current issues.” – Dr Tayyab Hussain, GP Partner “Conveniently located conference offering access to a wide range of learning activities and networking opportunities at no cost. Thank you Pulse!” – Dr Angela Thompson, Salaried GP “First time I have ever attended a Pulse event. Enjoyed, and above all, learnt so very much. The experience has influenced my approach with dealing with certain issues, for example combating missed appointments with requests for further referrals.” – Dr Thamali Jayasinghe, GP Registrar Pulse LIVE events are free to attend for GPs. The events have been designed to support healthcare professionals in gaining participatory learning hours, to build their knowledge, and help them to stay at the cutting-edge of the latest treatments and guidance.
