Pulse has been named ‘Business Magazine of the Year’ at the Professional Publishers Association awards. Judges said that Pulse had 'truly excelled on every level' over the past year. They added: 'This is a genuine stand-out winner of the PPA Business Magazine of the Year for 2016.' Pulse beat off competition from other industry magazines - including Inside Housing and the Architect's Journal - to claim the prize at a ceremony hosted by Fearne Cotton in London yesterday. The win is the latest in a number of recent awards for the magazine. Just last week, Pulse journalist Alex Matthews-King won 'Newcomer of the Year' at the Medical Journalist Association awards for his exclusive story about a controversial incentive scheme to pay GPs to reduce urgent referrals. Pulse news team also won ‘Business team of the year’ at the BSME Rising Stars awards last month and Pulse editor Nigel Praities was also named ‘Editor of the Year’ at the British Society of Magazine Editors awards last year.
