Oncology Nursing in Practice: Smoking Cessation
PCM Scientific has launched a new accredited module 'Smoking Cessation', on the Oncology Nursing in Practice platform, to educate on the importance and process of quitting smoking for patients with cancer, and ways to support patients through their journey.
Successful smoking cessation is life-changing, giving patients the opportunity to live longer and improved lives; this new module aims to provide nurses with knowledge to support their daily practice.
The UK government has recently pledged to end smoking in England by 2030 and, while this new module focuses on people diagnosed with lung cancer, it contains education that can be applied to any patient who smokes.
