Nursing in Practice Bournemouth took place on 31st October at the Carrington House Hotel.  A variety of topics were discussed, including sessions on sepsis, diabetes and immunisation.

Our nurses had the chance to reflect with colleagues and peers, hear from expert speakers on latest developments in primary care, and spend time discovering the latest innovations to support their practice in our exhibition space.

We have already had fantastic feedback from the attendees:

  • “All the speakers were excellent. All topics were completely relevant to my role. It was great to talk to the sponsors and useful to meet other nurses working in similar roles from other areas. So much additional reading to be done and lots of food for thought. An excellent day, thank you!” Community Nurse. 2017 attendee
  • “I enjoyed the event. The topics presented were all good and enhanced our knowledge to what’s new in the field of nursing. I also met new friends and colleagues. I hope to attend more events like this in the future.”  Registered Mental Health Nurse, 2017 attendee
  • “Not only was the event educational, but it was also most enjoyable and informative!” Practice Nurse, 2017 attendee

Our 2017 tour will come to an end with a visit to Cardiff on 23rd November, however we are delighted to announce that the 2018 calendar has been announced! Nine venues have been confirmed so far with more to come.

Nursing in Practice events are conscious of bringing together the nursing community with key stakeholders from across the healthcare industry, with the event also offering an exhibition alongside the conference.

Leading pharmaceutical companies, charitable organisations and innovative providers were able to discuss the latest cutting-edge medications and showcase their products to the attendees.

Now in their 14th year, Nursing in Practice events are free-to-attend and are designed to support nurses in gaining participatory learning hours, building their knowledge, and helping them stay at the cutting-edge of the latest treatments and guidance.
