Nursing in Practice Events – starting 2019 with a bang

We’ve had a fantastic start to 2019 with our first three Nursing in Practice events of the year – tickets for Liverpool, Belfast and Glasgow were snapped up and booking closed early due to huge popularity! On the day, we met with hundreds of practice nurses, health visitors, school nurses, and community nurses to support and celebrate the work they do.

On 5^th February the team travelled to the Adelphi in Liverpool where over 180 nurses came together for a day focusing on children’s asthma, shingles immunisation, influenza vaccine options, online services, dementia, depression, diabetes and chronic wounds.

On 27^th February, we were in Belfast where our expert speakers discussed COPD, type 2 diabetes, eating disorders, antimicrobial resistance, vaccination uptake, dermatology, arthritis, dementia, chronic wounds, and heart failure patients. Over 300 nurses joined us and benefited from free CPD, networking, and the exhibition.

And on 5^th March we headed to Glasgow where our nurses had three streams of sessions to choose from featuring talks on wound challenges, suicide prevention, learning difficulties, COPD, asthma, menopause, chronic kidney disease, travel health, sexual and reproductive health and much more. Over 400 nurses from across Scotland attended and the feedback has been brilliant:

Nursing in Practice events are conscious of bringing together the nursing community with key stakeholders from across the healthcare industry, with the event also offering an exhibition alongside the conference.

Leading pharmaceutical companies, charitable organisations and innovative providers were able to discuss the latest cutting-edge medications and showcase their products to the attendees.

Now in their 16^th year, Nursing in Practice events are free-to-attend and are designed to support nurses in gaining participatory learning hours, building their knowledge, and helping them stay at the cutting-edge of the latest treatments and guidance.
