Pulse is to appoint a new editor to take charge of the monthly print magazine and the PulseToday website from early April. Nigel Praities, who is currently Pulse’s deputy editor and who first joined the magazine as a clinical reporter in 2007, will take over as editor on Monday 7 April. Before Pulse he was a reporter at Research Fortnight magazine and previously a medical writer at a communications agency. The current editor Steve Nowottny, who has led the title for two years, will be stepping down to take on a new role as website content editor at the consumer website MoneySavingExpert.com.
