The IOTOD Summer webinar, ‘A holistic approach to opioid dependency treatment: managing patient complexity in practice’ will be taking place on Wednesday 6th September.

IOTOD Summer Webinar

Professor Catriona Matheson will be joined by Dr Yassir Abbasi to discuss how patient background and personal situation affect both their decision-making and willingness/ability to enter into an OD treatment plan and how access to treatment is supported.

The webinar, developed by our CME division, PCM Scientific, will also discuss how health-related quality-of-life outcomes may be used to quantify individual response to treatment. The event will conclude with a live Q&A session.

The IOTOD Summer webinar will be promoted to our community of primary and secondary care healthcare professionals via our media brands, as well as the well-established IOTOD community. Attendees included addiction specialists, GPs, primary care nurses, community pharmacists, psychiatrists, as well as other healthcare professionals interested in the management of opioid use disorder across the UK and Europe.

This follows on from the success of our 2023 annual conference, a virtual event tackling the latest challenges, innovations, research and insights in opioid dependence management and treatment. 95% of attendees rated the quality/relevance of the content as excellent/good and 98% rated the speakers and organisation of the event as excellent/good.

The IOTOD webinar ‘A holistic approach to opioid dependency treatment: managing patient complexity in practice’ is supported by grant funding from Camurus.

The educational programme is run at arm’s length from the financial supporters and all content is created by the faculty.
