Enduring resources and expert-led digital workshops from the HCM Academy

At the end of 2021, PCM Scientific launched a peer-to-peer and online educational programme, the HCM Academy. The website now hosts a series of enduring resources and expert-led digital workshops. 

HCM Academy is a free-to-access CME initiative for family physicians and community cardiologists focusing on the diagnosis and management of Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy (HCM).

This programme is aimed towards our community of physicians, community cardiologists and healthcare professionals within the USA. With enduring resources created with HCM experts, users can learn best practice in the treatment of patients with HCM, including management of heart failure symptoms and strategies to improve quality of life. 

Resources currently available on the HCM Academy website:

• 6 online learning modules (1 hour CME per module)
• 6 online case-study discussions (1 hour CME per case study)
• Video clips of patient journeys
• Digital workshops led by 24 regional educators (1 hour CME per workshop)

The digital workshops, targeting three regions of the US, have begun and will run until May 2022. 134 people have participated in the 7 workshops ran so far with another 27 workshops currently booked in until May 2022.
