Objectives

The virtual event sought to recreate the experience of a face-to-face conference, allowing primary care and community nursing delegates to view live and on-demand webinars on a variety of clinical and professional topics and visit virtual exhibition stands where clinical information, patient resources and support services were on show.

Our approach

After extensive research, working with a third party platform provider which offered maximum support and quality, we moved to a digital format, providing unprecedented opportunities for health care professionals to connect and access expert knowledge, from anywhere at any time.

Launching on 15th September, the Nursing in Practice virtual festival included 52 free educational sessions across a three month period, delivered by 45 leading speakers, experts in healthcare and coaching offering clinical updates and CPD. All live  sessions were recorded and made available afterwards on-demand, meaning that our delegates were able to access the event at a time to suit them. Delegates were able interact with the virtual exhibitors and download resources to use at a later date.

Outcome

  • 2,449 stand visits
  • 52 webinars
  • 17 exhibitors

Throughout the three months, 2944 attendees logged into the virtual event platform. Through our extensive reach, the event saw attendees from across the entire UK, appealing to those who would not usually be able to attend a face to face event.
