Clinical Excellence in Respiratory Care

Objectives

This virtual event targeted members of the respiratory multidisciplinary team (MDT) across secondary care.

The agenda covered various aspects of respiratory care ranging from diagnostic imaging, conditions including asthma, COPD and tuberculosis, to critical care and targeted therapies. Over 175 healthcare professionals from the MDT attended the event from across the UK.

Our approach

HHE Clinical Excellence launched in 2023, to target secondary care colleagues within respiratory and cardiovascular care. The events offer hospital teams the chance to explore the latest advances via talks presented by renowned experts from recognised Centres of Excellence.

With four virtual events taking place each year, we have tapped into the potential of secondary care events created for the whole MDT within a clinical area.

The most recent HHE Clinical Excellence in Respiratory Care event took place in May 2024 and saw a growth of 59% YoY in terms of attendance.

The event covered many important clinical areas such as diagnostic imaging, occupational lung disease, tuberculosis, COPD, severe asthma, critical care and personalised approaches to medicine. With an engaged audience allowing us to deliver hour-long panel discussions, our key opinion leaders were able to share their knowledge and answer questions to better improve care within the respiratory field.

The agenda was developed following extensive research and conversations with key opinion leaders. Feedback from previous events and delegate suggestions were also considered alongside any emerging guidelines.

To ensure strong and relevant delegate attendance at Clinical Excellence in Respiratory Care, including two pharmaceutical-sponsored sessions, we ran an extensive multi-channel marketing campaign via Hospital Healthcare Europe and Hospital Pharmacy Europe. Attention was also paid to the retention strategy, maximising the conversion of registrants to attendees on the day.

Following the live virtual events, each session on the agenda is available as a webinar on-demand within the HHE Clinical Excellence site, giving our audience flexibility with their CPD.

Over 175 members from the respiratory MDT attended the HHE Clinical Excellence in Respiratory Care virtual event. Throughout the day, two sessions were sponsored by major a pharmaceutical company, generating 200+ session views and HCP opt-ins for the client.

98% of attendees rated the event Excellent or Good and 98% would recommend to colleagues.
