Objectives

The ASK Biosimilars programme was developed by PCM Scientific to provide free online educational resources to enhance learning on the use of biosimilars. Launched in December 2021, resources included content that was evidence based, drawn from peer reviewed literature.

Our approach

The ASK programme successfully launched multi-format educational activities, including 10 learning chapters, a library of 30 abstracts, local guideline summary documents, an archive of expert-led webinars, and a downloadable handbook. To reach our community of oncologists and hospital pharmacists across Western Europe, Canada and Japan, the ASK platform was translated to allow access for users in English, French, German, Italian, Japanese and Spanish.

The educational resources were promoted through our media brands Hospital Healthcare Europe and Hospital Pharmacy Europe to our community of hospital pharmacists and oncologists in the United Kingdom, Germany, Spain, France, Italy, Japan, and Canada. Marketing tactics included newsletters, social media, and online advertising. A targeted email marketing campaign was created with translated marketing assets created in Japanese for promotion to our community of Japanese hospital pharmacists and oncologists.

Outcome

  • 11,970+ unique engagements
  • 5,340+ website users
  • 340+ resource downloads
  • 80+ webinar views

The success of the ASK Biosimilars programme has resulted in the platform being expanded through the ASK Real-World Evidence with Biosimilars in Oncology programme. These resources will include an abstract library and case studies showcasing real-world evidence of the use of biosimilars and will be available from November 2022 to our audience of oncologists, oncology nurses, hospital pharmacists and payors in Europe, as well as Canada, the US and Australia.
