We are pleased to announce that Pulse has been nominated at the 2018 PPA Awards for ‘Business Magazine of the Year’.

Pulse most widely-read non-reference journal among GPs

Pulse investigations continue to dominate health news. Last year, we were mentioned in the national media 140 times, with ten mentions on the front page of national newspapers.

We revealed that 260,000 patients had been forced to move practice due to surgery closures, which was featured on the front page of the Guardian, the Telegraph and the Metro, and featured on all the major news broadcasts and national newspapers.

Other front page headline-making investigations included the high number of vacancies in GP practices, GP waiting lists, plans to ban patients from walking in to A&E, and an investigation into how GPs will be working an extra half day a year to meet demand by 2022.

National health journalists actively approach our Editorial team to now to do joint investigations. Most notably, we were approached by GMTV for an investigation on the levels of stress, alcohol and drug dependency in the profession, which led its news cycle that day with the Pulse logo prominent throughout.
Our editors are regular on national news stations as a result.
