The first podcast from The Pharmacist sees reporter Léa Legraien interview four pharmacists about their differing views on homeopathy – the use of which continues to divide both the profession and the wider public.

While some people believe that homeopathy has a place alongside medicine, others remain unconvinced of its efficacy and are skeptical of the evidence supporting its use.

Many community pharmacies continue to stock homeopathic products. But the million dollar question is whether pharmacists should advocate its use despite limited evidence of its efficacy, or whether restricting the sale of homeopathic products lessens patient choice to a dangerous degree. Which side of the debate do you fall on?

The Pharmacist will continue to produce podcasts in the future, tackling more issues that generate debate within community pharmacy and the wider health professional community.
