Our autumn Nursing in Practice events kicked off in Bristol on 6th September with an event focusing on type 2 diabetes, shingles immunisation, GP online services, chronic wounds and more.

Primary care and community nurses, health visitors, school nurses, clinical leads and team leaders came together at the Mercure Bristol Grand Hotel to discuss best practice and share common concerns. 98% of attendees* would recommend the event to their colleagues with the event scoring 4.6/5 overall.

Here is what some of our delegates had to say about the day:

  • “Relevant topics, with excellent speakers sharing up-to-date knowledge. Good pace to the day, nothing dragged on and kept interest level high.”
  • “I learnt something within minutes of arriving and went away with lots of enthusiasm.”

Jane Scullion presented a session on the challenges in COPD care which delegates found useful in learning strategies for managing exacerbation and first line treatments; and Debra Holloway gave a talk on the menopause which delegates described as very interesting and “about time this was discussed!”.

Suffice it to say it was a vibrant and interesting day full of good discussion. Next up is Nursing in Practice Sheffield on 9th October, followed by Nursing in Practice Bournemouth on 31st October.
