Clinicians and managers leading on the transformation of the health service will gain the first magazine, website and events specifically dedicated to keep them up to date.

The new Healthcare Leader brand from media and marketing services company Cogora will aim to support all those decision-makers in the NHS taking forward their blueprints for the future of health and social care in their local areas.

It is a particularly challenging time for the health service and through a quarterly print publication, a news website and events across the country, Healthcare Leader will give a platform for local leaders in the NHS and local government to share innovative ideas on how to address the financial and care challenges they face.

Incorporating existing Cogora brand The Commissioning Review, already a market-leading publication for clinical commissioning groups, Healthcare Leader will broaden its reach to those in the rest of the health service, such as those involved in Vanguard projects and Sustainability and Transformation (STP) plans.

The Healthcare Leader Forums will be a new series of events that will take place across the country in 2017. These events will feature leading names from NHS England, commissioning organisations, social care and public health. They will focus on in-depth debates and discussions on how to make the Five Year Forward View a reality in the midst of a harsh financial climate.

The Healthcare Leader brand will be directed by a panel of experts from across the health service and local government, chaired by NHS England advisor on the new models of care and NHS Tower Hamlets CCG chair Sir Sam Everington and including STP leaders from across England.

Editor of Healthcare Leader Gemma Collins said: ‘This is a really exciting opportunity for the health service to come together and discuss how it is going to survive the next few years. The truth is that only by sharing innovative ideas, best practice and what has – and hasn’t – worked in different areas will the NHS be able to build a more sustainable future. Healthcare Leader aims to be the catalyst for those discussions and a positive force for change.’
