Under the Pulse brand we produce market-leading magazines, websites and events for GPs. Pulse works with a wide range of advertisers, including biotechnology company Thermo Fisher.

Objectives

Cogora was approached by Thermo Fisher Scientific to host a live webinar targeted to our communities of GPs. The webinar was subsequently hosted on Pulse Today.

Our approach

Cogora offers clients the opportunity to host webinars, a great way to raise brand awareness and reach out to a target audience, by delivering high-quality content and showcasing industry knowledge.

The webinar, Personalising Care in Allergy, Asthma and Coeliac Disease, included presentations from Professor Somnath Mukhopadhyay and Dr Dirk Pilat, followed by a Q&A session and a follow-up survey to gain insight from the audience. The viewer could also download a certificate stating that the webinar was worth one CPD hour.

Marketing communications included display advertising on Pulse Today, and in Pulse magazine and weekly email newsletters, as well as social media posts.

Outcome

  • 112,000 newsletter subscribers
  • Magazine circulated to 35,000 GPs a month
  • 517,000 page views and 216,000 visits per month on the Pulse website
  • 6,500 Toolkit app downloads

The campaign generated significant exposure and awareness for Thermo Fisher Scientific, as well as delivering insightful guidance and resources to our communities of healthcare professionals. Within two months, the webinar garnered almost 2,900 views.
